Online casino games, poker and sports betting websites to play in Ireland
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has revealed in its annual review of 2022, that overall in 2022, a total of 26 individuals were sanctioned relating to match fixing and betting charges. And that the organization received a total of 109 match alerts through its agreements with the regulated betting industry last year, slightly down on 2021, which saw 113 alerts.
Last year, the following players, umpires and coaches were banned from the sport: Nicolas Arreche (Argentina, 4 years for match fixing), Mauricio Echazu (Peru, 2 years and 3 months for match fixing), Ksenia Palkina (Kyrgyzstan,16 years form match fixing with 6 years suspended), Fernando Bogajo Fernandez (Spain, 1 year and 10 months for match fixing), Marc Fornell Mestres (Spain, 22 years and 6 months for match fixing), Jorge Marse Vidri (Spain, 15 years ban for match fixing), Carlos Ortega (Spain, 15 years for match fixing), Jaime Ortega (Spain, 7 years and 6 months for match fixing), Marcos Tarralbo (Spain, 15 years ban for match fixing), Pedro Bernabe Franco (Spain, 15 years for match fixing), Daniel Zeferino (Portugal, lifetime for match fixing), Alberto Alvarado Larin (El Salvador, 5 months for match fixing), Majd Affi (Tunisia, 20 years for match fixing), Bob Bryan and Mardy Fish (USA, fine for promoting gaming company), Stefan Milanov (Bulgaria, 6 months for betting on tennis), Jules Okala (France, lifetime for match fixing), Mick Lescure (France, lifetime for match fixing), Barbara Gatica Avilés (Chile, 3 years for match fixing) and last but not least Baoluo Zheng (China, 9 months for match fixing).
The ITIA’s annual report also states that 2022 saw further co-operation with the betting industry, with the ITIA and the International Betting Integrity Association organizing a joint Tennis Betting Integrity Workshop in Barcelona.
